My first appointment to judge dogs took place in 1989 - the breed was Golden Retrievers.  The following year I judged my first classes of Italian Spinoni.  I now have KC (AKC and FCI) approval to judge both these breeds at championship shows. 

In nineteen years I have had the privilege of evaluating dogs at some of the most prestigious shows, culminating in Crufts 2003.   I look forward to enjoying my future assignments in Gundog, Terrier and Hound breeds. 

In 2005 I became the first UK judge to award BIS at the Club Italiano Spinone Breed Club Speciality Raduno in Fratte Terme, Italy - a great thrill!  

2007 saw me crossing the pond to judge at the Spinone Club of America's equivalent event in Virginia - the National Specialty.  Another 'first' and an amazing experience! I continue to enjoy a close working relationship with the parent Breed Club with regard to Judges Education and Breed Standard matters.
